1. The awkwardness that is cancelling your way out of any and all plans you make/are forced into. Crafting that many excuses isn’t easy and is an artform that deserves proper recognition.

2. Justifying this: “What are you doing?” “Nothing… I’m just sitting at home… but like, because I want to.”

3. You’re not anti-social, you are just selectively-social. You don’t waste your time with people who don’t matter, you don’t keep up fake friendships. Sometimes this looks as though you’re distant, but you actually have a psychological leg up on the people who are still trying to work out relationships that just aren’t meant for them.

4. Dealing with the stigma that someone who spends time at home is boring and needs to “get a life.” Wherever you live your life the happiest is the place you should do it. The only people who think otherwise are the people who can’t be…

Cover Reveal: Ugly Love by Collen Hoover

blurp
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

I cannot wait for this book!! Colleen is my favorite YA/NA author and I’ve read everything she’s written.
With each book she gets better and better!
If you haven’t YET read any of Colleen’s books, give them a try and believe me you won’t regret it.
One book and you’re hooked!
Her first book series were the  Slammed series which were an instant success and got her to the New York Time’s best sellers  list.
The one that really got to me, though, was  Hopeless .
Still to this day I really don’t quite know how to articulate the feels that book gave me!
Anyways, I’m rambling.
Are you a Colleen Hoover fan? If yes, then which one is your favorite book of  hers?
Comment below, I would love to see what you guys like!

Until next time,

xoxo

Book Review: AT ANY PRICE by Brenna Aubrey

Hiya beautiful people!
How are we all doing today? Hope you’re fine, because today I’m going to review a 5 stars  book that’s gonna make you all squeal!

“At any price” by Brenna Aubrey

Summary:

Achievement Unlocked: Geek Virgin

When Mia Strong, proud geek-girl and popular gaming blogger, auctions off her virginity online, she knows she’ll make waves. But what she will not be making is a love connection. Her rules are set in stone: One night. No further contact.

It’s a desperate step, but it’s the only way she can go to medical school and pay her mother’s mounting hospital bills.

Difficulty Level: Millionaire CEO

Adam Drake, the enigmatic auction winner, is a software prodigy who made his first million at seventeen. Now, in his mid-twenties, he’s sexy, driven and–as CEO of his own gaming company–he’s used to making the rules. Before Mia knows what’s happening, he’s found the loophole in the rules of her auction. Every stipulation she’s made to protect her heart gets tossed by the wayside.

She can’t tell if he’s playing her…or if he’s playing for keeps.

Cool right?? I know!

What I loved:

It’s about a geeky girl obsessed with blogging and gaming! I could definitely relate to that!
I simply adored all the feministic messages it passed, and Mia’s strong inner voice was so refreshing!
It was fast paced, and one of those books you simply can’t put down. (I started the book at 9 pm, and finished it at 6 am. Yup.)
Mia was very relatable. Her actions and her way of thinking remind me a lot of me and the way I’m thinking, and my friends as well.
Adam. How do I even begin? He’s the most recent member of “The book boyfriend club”
He is a genuinely good person, wants the best for Mia and is very protective. Even though she doesn’t need it, that girl is a BADASS.
Character development. Simply amazing.
The exquisite way of handling the whole losing your virginity situation, which in some other books I’ve read becomes romanticized and as we know in real life it’s not  THE best thing in the world lol.
awkward
What I didn’t like:

rolls eyes
I loved everything alright? I loved everything.
Besides wanting to slap them both to get together sooner, I loved everything.
I’m fangirling here ok? shut up.

In conclusion, this was a very unique storyline, fast paced, with a really well thought out messages that shine through.
I cannot wait for book #2 and book #3!

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover REVIEW

5 Amazing -screaming over the top of my lungs- fangirling stars!
What an awesome way to start my reading year!
First of all, just look at that cover. Just look at it. GAH! I’m a cover whOre what can I say! Very pleased with this one!17788403
Now let’s get to the good part.
I definitely didn’t think that Colleen Hoover could get any better at writing books. (She is already the best)
I guess I was wrong.
After the slammed and the Hopeless series, Colleen is coming back better than ever!
This heartwarming story about love, betrayal, loss and hope is propably her best work so far!
I love that she gets better and better every single time and I can be a witness to that.
The story is about Sydney, a 22 year old woman, who finds out after a 2 year relationship, that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her best friend.
Devastated, she finds refuge to the cute guy’s apartment, just opposite of hers.
Ridge is a musician and Sydney has been secretly listening to him playing guitar for some time, when Ridge desperately asks her to help him write lyrics because he is going through a terrible writer’s block.
That’s where it all starts.
I will not be posting ANY spoilers because this book is something you must read about and gasp, laugh, cry and curse out loud without knowing anything beforehand.
I was very impressed about how original this story was, because to tell you the absolute truth, when I read the blurp,I thought “Well it sounds good but not something I haven’t read before.”
I was again wrong.
You will gasp for air and you will wish about a love so selfless and strong.
Maybe….Someday.

Where did that get me? Breathing in a paper bag to stop the panic, that’s where!
How did I get here? How did I not think about the consequenses of that decision?
Why did I not realise this would be really really hard? It’s like trying to rate your kids from cutest to ugliest I tell you! Impossible!

FANGIRL BY RAINBOW ROWELL REVIEW

16068905
Okay! This book gets all the stars everywhere!
It deserves everything!

But just to go along with the “rules” it gets 5 out of 5 amazing stars.

The cover, is AMAZEBALLS! I mean look at it! Look at the colours, look at the drawings!
It definitely got me thinking that this was going to be a very interesting read.

It’s been 3 days since I finished reading the book, and I still don’t quite know what to say, because I don’t want to undersale it in any way.

This book was me . This book was people I know, friends I have,
my sister.
My social difficulties all inside one book. (they are a lot! lol)
I think It’s the very first time I relate to a character this much.

Cath is a freshman in college, she has a twin sister Wren, and they’re both completely different.
They got in the same University but Wren decided to live in another dorm room so she could meet new people. (Breaking Cath’s heart in the process)
Cath is the introvert. The bookworm. The Fangirl. She LOVES Simon Snow so much, she spends whole nights writing SS fanfiction.
She afraid to go out of her room even for food. She doesn’t really “like” or get people.

“I feel sorry for you, and I’m going to be your friend.”
“I don’t want to be your friend,” Cath said as sternly as she could. “I like that we’re not friends.”
“Me, too. I’m sorry you ruined it by being so pathetic.”

This is where Reagan steps up.
Reagan is Cath’s sassy, grumpy, hilarious roommate who becomes her only friend.
Together they help each other come out of their comfort zones and live a little differently.
I love Cath’s relationship with Reagan. It’s so entertaining!
Along with Reagan came Levi.
Levi is the sweetest, kindest character I think I’ve ever read about.

“You give away nice like it doesn’t cost you anything.”
― Cath to Levi.

And he really did. He smiled to everyone! From the people he knew, to the ones he just met.
He’s just one of those rare characters you can’t help but love.
He was always there for her even when he didn’t need her,but Cath didn’t understand that cause she thought Levi was Reagan’s boyfriend.
Yeah you guessed right. He wasn’t.

I adored all the Cath-Levi moments.
From the fights, to their reading sessions, to the first time they kissed.
They are so different and yet so,so alike!
He is propably the only person who didn’t try to change her at all.

“It’s okay if you’re crazy,” he said softly. “You don’t even know-”
“I don’t have to know,” he said. “I’m rooting for you.”

Finally, this book was a such an incredible read.
It was fandom, love, second chances, friendship, family, devotion and so much more.
It left me all warm and fuzzy inside!

The only thing I want is more!! I feel like there’s so much more to find out about these characters!
Rainbow Rowell do you hear me?
Please write another one!

If you’re a fangirl in any way, you’ll adore this one.
Until next time xoxo
